Tales Development Story
The core of this instrument is the intimate sound of a classic nylon guitar, specially sampled. Recording open strings tuned at different pitches allows for an extremely pure guitar tone and delicate emotional expression. Combined with FM, granular, and sample-based texture layers, it further inspires your ideas.

Guitar
The guitars in Tales were recorded in the final sessions at Year! Year! Year! Studio in Hamburg before it was destroyed in a gas explosion. The articulated attacks are prominent in every articulation, capturing the beautiful, natural sound of the now-lost studio. The guitars are sampled from open strings tuned to different pitches, ensuring maximum sustain for each note. This approach also allows for greater flexibility in the guitar's range and inspires new ideas.

Textures
Custom-made textures take full advantage of HALion's powerful FM, wavetable, and granular synthesis + sampling engines. Instruments, orchestral elements, rare equipment, and physically modeled sounds all complement the guitar's tone.
