The TG Microphone Type L is a simpler, more affordable version of the TG Microphone, which was developed jointly by Abbey Road Studios in the UK and Chandler Limited in the US.
The TG Microphone retains its historic sound character, inheriting its core circuitry, large-diaphragm capsule, and dual-tone system. Meanwhile, its swivel mount and 48V phantom power simplify operation.

This highly versatile microphone is ideal for situations previously reserved for the C414, FET47, U87, U67, and C12, as well as situations where dynamic and ribbon microphones are mounted on guitar cabinets.

[A Sound That Inherits the Legend of Abbey Road Studios]

The EMI TG12345 console, created in 1967 by Abbey Road engineers and EMI's technical team, brought flexibility and significant change to recording from 1968 onward. This solid-state recording console features a modular design with 12 dual-channel microphone cassettes, extensive EQ, and a compressor/limiter per channel.

Era-defining recordings such as The Beatles' final album, ""Abbey Road,"" Pink Floyd's ""The Dark Side of the Moon,"" and George Harrison's ""All Things Must Pass"" were recorded on this console.

The TG Microphone, which inherited the legendary ""TG"" name, was installed in many professional studios around the world.

The TG Microphone Type L inherits the TG Microphone's basic circuit configuration, large-diaphragm capsule, and Dual Tone System, but has been improved to appeal to a wider range of users. In addition, the TG Microphone Type L's unique voicing delivers the proud TG sound.

[Two Sound Characters with the Dual Tone System]
The ""Dual Tone System"" modifies the input stage of the TG Microphone Type L, expanding the microphone's versatility.

""System A"" delivers the sound you've come to expect from the traditional TG series, featuring rich overtones, punch, and a more forward-thinking character (color).

""System B"" delivers a cleaner, more uncolored sound. Furthermore, ""System B"" can achieve a higher SPL, making it suitable for situations where a FET47 would typically be used, such as miking a kick drum, bass, or guitar cabinet.

[48V phantom power and swivel mount for more efficient studio work]
The TG Microphone Type L is a cardioid, 48V phantom powered FET condenser microphone. It features a larger sound image than typical solid-state microphones.

In addition, the swivel mount and smaller size of the microphone holder make it easier to incorporate the ""TG"" sound into your studio work.

This solid-state condenser microphone combines the historic TG sound with the flexibility and ease of use of the Dual Tone system. That's the TG Microphone Type L.
