Browne Amplification is a guitar, amplifier, and guitar effects company based in Kansas City, USA.
Browne was born from a desire to create high-quality, durable, and reliable guitar products for working musicians.
For years, whether you needed a vintage amp repair, a guitar setup the right way, or a custom pedal made in Kansas City, founder Dave Brown (no ""e"" in Dave's real name) was the go-to person.

Dave's reputation as a musician and guitar technician for decades ensured that when the Protein Dual Overdrive was first released, it quickly found its way into the hands of touring artists everywhere.
Almost overnight, Browne Amplification became everyone's talking, but it was by no means an overnight success. Protein took years of development and testing before becoming available to the general public.

Browne continues to design and release products that serve as tools for working musicians, focusing on reliability, simplicity, and practicality in every product it creates.

The Protein 2-in-1 Overdrive is a collaboration between David Brown and guitarist/producer Adam Sniegowski.

The blue LED side (left side) is based on the classic OD used by John Mayer and others on his album ""Continuum.""

It's a low-gain overdrive with ample headroom. It pairs well with other drive pedals, so we recommend using Protein at the end of your drive chain.

The green LED side (right side) is inspired by classic ""Nashville"" overdrives.

It's a slightly compressed, slightly higher-gain overdrive. Recommended for both lead and rhythm guitar. The manufacturer recommends setting the level at 1 o'clock, the tone at 12 o'clock, and the gain at 11 o'clock.

The footswitches are on/off for each pedal.

The internal connection order is green → blue, and the order cannot be reversed.
