Combining dynamic overdrive foundation tone with a shimmering range boost, The Engine's unique synergy will open up a vast sonic universe. It consists of two fully analog sections. Side A has been meticulously tuned to recreate the sound, feel, and dynamic response of a 1960s British non-master volume amplifier.
Easily achieve tube-like distortion without having to play at ear-splitting levels. Side B's most powerful feature, Range, is our take on the '60s Treble Booster. Plus, the high-headroom, distortion-free Clean Boost and versatile Low & High EQ help you further customize your tone.
■ Power Supply
A 9VDC (center negative)/100mA power supply is recommended (not included).
The maximum allowable power supply voltage is 18V (it must be regulated!).
Voltage higher than 9V (maximum 18V) will affect the tone, dynamics, and internal headroom of The Engine Side A only. Side B has a built-in voltage regulator and is not affected by higher voltages. When used with an electric guitar, the current draw is approximately 83mA. When connecting equipment with significantly higher output than an electric guitar, we recommend using a power supply with a 150mA output. The Engine has built-in protection circuitry against reverse voltage and electrostatic discharge.
