A metal can is filled with oil, and electricity is passed through it, recording the oil's fluctuations as a waveform fluctuation. The ""oil can delay"" is known as one of the earliest delay units, long before the invention of tape echo.

Black Fountain Stereo is a unique delay pedal inspired by that now-forgotten, one-of-a-kind tone. It's muffled, distorted, rough, and somehow soothing. You've been needing this. You just didn't realize it until this moment.

The repeats are dim, blurred, stagnant, and unstable, swaying in a way unimaginable in modern times. This will be an indispensable companion for playing with sentimental repetitive effects and feedback that unfolds like a landscape. Black Fountain, Old Blood Noise Endeavors' debut product, has been updated over the years. The latest version, Stereo, finally reaches unprecedented heights. The fact that OBNE was the first to recreate an oil can delay shows just how eccentric a manufacturer they are.

The highlight is the expanded delay time settings. Two delay stages are available, with multi-tap (parallel or series) in mono mode and individual L/R settings in stereo mode. Subdivision time synchronization is also possible, allowing for a wide range of repeat possibilities.

Sounds that were created by switching modes in the previous model can now be individually adjusted in Stereo. Modulation speed, depth, darkness, distortion, and grit. By independently adjusting all of these parameters, you can create feedback with a sentimental vibe. The control range has also been expanded, allowing access to more standard delays, but it's the smeared, dreamlike repeats that really make the magic happen. Its emotive sound, somewhere between delay and smudged reverberation, shines especially brightly in modern ensembles.

Black Fountain is not a meticulous reproduction of a specific oil-can delay unit; rather, it is OBNE's romantic expression that embodies the entire atmosphere surrounding the unit itself.

Stereo, as its name suggests, supports stereo input and output! By controlling the stereo image dispersion and delay tap bleed with the Space knob, you can create an extremely rich and distinctive spatial effect. The Aux switch also instantly increases feedback, creating a floating, faint, melting sound-on-sound effect.

All parameters and options have a wide control range and can be externally controlled via EXP or MIDI. The long-awaited preset function allows you to store and instantly recall your favorite settings.
