A rough octave that blurs and rises/falls. Variable clock + octave effect.
■Features
・Rough, slightly blurred octave sound
The BL-13 is the most ennui-filled octave pedal that only Old Blood Noise Endeavors can produce.
The base is an octave effect that shifts pitch up and down in both directions. It produces a rough-textured, slightly blurred, and somewhat mysterious octave sound. By stretching or feeding back this, you can manipulate the roughness and floating feeling reminiscent of reverb.
・The Magical Clock Slider
The magic of the BL-13 begins with the Clock control, which varies the pedal's processing speed. This controls the character, timbre, atmosphere, and noise. The complex changes in the elements that make up the BL-13 will give you the illusion of owning a completely different pedal.
When the Clock control is set to a higher position, the octave sound becomes brighter and clearer. It has a popping sound with a hint of reverb.
As you turn the control down, the octave generation slows, the sound quality drops, the sound image blurs, and a tremolo-like undulation is created by the down-octave. Turning it down further also introduces a distinctive aliasing noise. The raspy octave that rises like a distant rumble creates a unique spatial expansion.
・Repeating and Fading Octaves
More controls the octave feedback. By re-pitch-shifting the output sound, it creates an octave ""trail"" where the pitch gradually rises and falls before fading away.
The more you turn this control, the more feedback you get. At the same time, delay is added to the feedback, creating a slowly evolving octave effect. Create a unique spatial expression with a slightly melancholic and shadowy feel.
■CONTROL
MIX: Sets the dry/wet blend ratio. You can set a specific effect amount from full dry to full wet.
VOLUME: Sets the overall volume. Depending on the clock setting, the volume may sound lower, so this can also be used to correct it.
CLOCK: Sets the clock speed. This affects sound quality and time-related parameters.
At the full right setting, the sound is clearest, with octaves appearing quickly within an extremely short reverb. Moving it to the left slows the octave onset, stretching the reverb and creating a more pronounced tremolo-like sound due to the pitch shift.
As you move it all the way down, the sound quality drops more clearly and noise is introduced.
MORE: Controls feedback, returning the pitch-shifted signal to the input to add a rising/falling octave trail. Turning this control also delays the feedback, preventing the octaves from overlapping too quickly.
