The AMP16 uses dual Raytheon ‘JAN6418’ vacuum tubes, with a 22.5V high-voltage anode power supply to extend headroom and maximise the potential of the tubes. It delivers a warm, extended, analogue-like sound.
■High-quality sound with manual tube matching.
In order to limit manufacturing errors, iBasso performs rigorous matching tests, limited to 50 pairs per day, with SINAD measurements carried out using an APX555 audio analyser. This guarantees high-precision sound quality.
■Vibration-damping design with PORON suspension
To protect the vacuum tubes from noise, a suspension structure made of PORON material is used. Microphonic noise and external shocks are suppressed to ensure stable listening.
■Various sound quality expressions with two modes
The TUBE mode provides the warm sound of vacuum tubes, while the Class AB mode offers high-resolution and wide-range reproduction. The sound flavour can be switched freely according to the user's preference.
High-precision circuitry consisting of vacuum tube + OPAMP + BUF
The AMP16 is equipped with two JAN6418 vacuum tubes, four Ti dual OPAMPs and four BUF634As for a compact yet precise configuration. High-quality capacitors ensure high affinity with the DX340 and excellent expandability.
Powerful drive with external power supply support
Super Gain Mode is activated by DC12V power input, realising a high-power output of 2000mW+2000mW at 32Ω, enabling even difficult-to-drive headphones to be played back with plenty of power.

The AMP16 supports standard 4.4mm balanced and 3.5mm unbalanced outputs, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of earphones and headphones. Flexible usage.
■JRC hardware volume for noise suppression.
The 100-step JRC volume allows for fine volume adjustment and at the same time reduces noise specific to vacuum tubes, providing clear sound.
