Nuance Select was designed based on one philosophy: ""Clear operation that eliminates any influence on the original sound."" When producing music, it's essential to be confident that the sound you hear from your speakers accurately reflects the sound coming from your audio interface.
A monitor controller that trades useful features for adding distortion and coloration that affects the way your mix sounds is putting the cart before the horse. That's why Nuance Select goes to great lengths to make it sound like it's not in the signal path.
Thanks to a unique, patent-pending circuit design, Nuance's balanced output has an incredibly low total harmonic distortion of less than 0.00001%. This is a number that cannot be detected by some audio test equipment. The 100% Class A signal path uses no capacitors, fully utilizes DC servos, and features a true step attenuator on the main level control.
If you've used other monitor controllers in the past, you'll be amazed by the clarity and fine detail of Nuance Select. It offers all the conveniences of switching input sources, monitors, and subwoofer output, while delivering pure sound as if the interface were directly connected to the speakers.

■Connection example
・Control studio monitors
While switching between the two speaker outputs, the SUB output can be turned on and off independently. There are also two stereo source inputs, so source 1 can be used for the main mix, and source 2 can be used for alternate mixes, reference tracks, and cue mixes.

・Two assignable headphone outputs
Engineers can monitor the main mix with headphones set to Source 1, while artists can hear their own cue mix while tracking by setting the Input Select switch to Source 2.

・Use AUX output to connect to another audio device
The AUX output allows you to send either input source to another audio device, such as a headphone amplifier in another room.

・Connect the sub output to a “sound cube” style monaural speaker
The sub output is a full-band output that can be monitored independently, so it can also be used to connect monaural speakers. This is useful for checking midrange balance and sound reproduction with consumer speakers.
