Multifunctional modulation machine MAKO M1 has evolved significantly.
The M1 is a powerful multi-functional modulation pedal with six customizable studio-quality features: Chorus, Phaser, Tremolo, Vibrato, Rotary, and Filter. Each program can be tweaked, customized, and saved to one of nine onboard presets (up to 128 using MIDI). The M1's built-in Lo-fi knob allows you to mix various Lo-fi parameters into every program. From weak and delicate vibrations, to dynamic and thick undulating choruses, to bold panning tremolos... Create your own sounds in all genres and styles using the high-performance modulation effector M1.
■Features
- Total BPM control allows users to select a specific tempo and read it in the menu screen of Chorus, Phaser, Tremolo, and Vibrato programs.
-Internal wet/dry mix.
- Added new flanger sound to Chorus algorithm.
- Navigation menu for adjusting secondary controls and Lo-fi parameters.
- Improved Rotary and Filter programs.
-OLED display for easy adjustment and preset management.
■PROGRAMS
M1 has 6 programs. There are three different program types for each program.
Chorus
From a delicate chorus to a bright and rich tri-chorus that will instantly transport you back to the 80's. Type I is a traditional chorus perfect for tight, smooth chorus tones. Type II has its roots in the classic tri-chorus effect, which operates three chorus units in parallel to create a rich, multidimensional chorus. Type III transforms into a sweeping, vintage-style flanger that mod fans will love.
Phaser
The classic 70s phaser sound we all know and love, but with unexpected features.
Masu. Type 1 is a two-stage phaser, a classic, mild one-notch phaser. Type 2 is a 4-stage model.
This is a stronger effect with two notches. Type 3 models the unique tuning and LFO waveform seen in Uni-Vibe.
It's a derring-do phaser.
Tremolo
This program has a bell, a whistle, and a tremolo that mimics three different algorithms with an added bonus.
vinegar. Type 1 is an optical tremo that raises and lowers all bands, similar to Walrus Audio Monument's standard mode.
This is a great traditional sound created by the bass and bias tremolo. Type2 is Monument's harmonic mode
A close, warm and comfortable harmonic tremolo. This unique sound features a combination of high and low frequencies that are raised relative to each other.
It is created by letting it go down. Type 3 is a pulsating sound synchronized to the rhythm of several predetermined patterns.
It's a tremolo.
Vibrato
Type 1 specializes in traditional vibrato sounds. Type2 is a digital support system that imitates an old record player.
You can select the sound speed from 33RPM, 45RPM, or up to 78RPM using the Rate knob. Type 3 can be heard on old tape recorders.
This sound is a modern version of wow and flutter. It makes you feel warm and nostalgic.
Rotary
A large rotary speaker like a Leslie speaker won't fit on a pedal board. Type 1 is a wet, oil-rich Leslie speaker simulation. Type 2 is an effect that rotates only the horn rotor (treble part) and produces sound from both drum rotors (low part). Type 3 reproduces the effect of rotating only the drum rotor (bass part) and producing sound from both horn rotors (treble part).
Filter
Type 1 is a low-pass filter, suitable for creating dark tones. Type 2 is a high-pass filter that filters out low frequencies.
It can be modulated. Type3 is a bandpass filter. Use the main LFO to adjust the filter band
Set the Lo-fi envelope to match your play style.
Let's drive with Namics.
■Lo-Fi CONTROLS
M1 features six Lof-Fi type global controls. Use the right encoder knob to degrade it to an old-school sound, then use the Lo-Fi knob to adjust the overall mix.
Env
Envelope dynamically controls tone depending on the strength of your play
Drive
Drive adds crunchy, analog drive that simulates warm, distorted analog circuitry.
Space
Space can add reverb to modulation. Setting it to the minimum setting turns it off, and turning it up increases the amount of reverb and decay.
Age
Age is a complex combination of filters that simulates the limited bandwidth of vintage audio players and recording equipment. Contains 5 predetermined filter combinations. Turning the dial changes the sound to the old days when the lows and highs were cut down. At low settings, you can reproduce modern, slightly uncertain tones with a thin, all-band tone, to a cheap AM radio sound at high settings.
Noise
Noise allows you to add analog-like noise to the sound. The character of the noise depends on which program and type you select. Turn up Noise to add tape hiss, vinyl crackle, or pop noise to the selected program.
Warble
Warble allows you to make the main LFO waveform shape more complex. Setting the knob below 12 o'clock will give you a gentler ""warping"" effect, and setting it above 12 o'clock will give the LFO a more random waveform.
■PRESETS
M1 MKII has a total of 128 preset slots. To access presets, press the left and center encoders at the same time. The first nine presets can be selected from banks A/B/C and can be accessed directly from the pedal using BYPASS and TAP/SKIP switch preset switching. All 128 presets can be accessed via MIDI program change messages
■SPECS
・Power supply: 9VDC center negative (adapter only) 300mA minimum
