The main configuration of the pedal remains the same as the standard version. The pedal's right section features a highly detailed K-style overdrive, while the left section features two D-style amp voicings, some of the world's most difficult-to-find tube amps.
In the RAW edition, we've added some magical elements to the K-side clipping section. A carefully selected set of 60's Mullard/Valvo labeled OC45 germanium transistors.
This was the first K-type circuit to employ germanium transistors.
We've tried many germanium transistor types, but find that OC45 transistors add a very natural feel with organic compression that improves gain and sustain. The standard sound remains at the standard setting where you can hear the germanium diode clipping like on the original unit.
The RAW version's amp-in-a-box side is glassier and punchier than the standard version. Imagine the sounds of blues rock or classic rock blending into your mix. You can play it perfectly with various guitar and pickup combinations. Imagine what would happen if you set the Rock/Jazz toggle switch to the Lock setting.
Like the standard version, the Unobtanium Raw features a passive effects loop, allowing you to connect your favorite pedal between the booster/overdrive and the amp box, or use the two sections as separate, independent effects when using an external bypass switcher/looper.
Note that all pedals inserted into the passive effects loop remain in the signal chain, even if one or both sections are in bypass mode.
Unobtanium Raw features a power-up bypass/engage preset feature for the footswitch. This allows you to choose what state the pedal will be in when you connect power. This feature is especially useful for those who use remote pedal switchers/loopers, as they only need to set the pedal state once and can operate it from the controller.

Main sound differences between standard and RAW versions:
K-side:
Standard version: MOD settings = Adds a silicon diode in combination with the stock germanium diode in the clipping section for higher output and less compression.
Raw version: OC45 settings = Uses new and old stock Mullard/Valvo OC45 germanium transistors instead of stock germanium diodes for clipping, increases gain and sustain/compression.
D side:
Standard version: smoother jazz/blues oriented tone.
RAW version: Grassy blues/rock oriented tone.
