Gehenna is a highly flexible metal distortion product. We cover everything from classic NWOBHM to early 2000s core music, from raw black metal and death metal to ultra-tight modern Djent. Featuring a unique cut control, you can dial in different gain structures, saturation types, and adjust the frequency response to match your guitar's tuning.

You can get a variety of sounds, from very tight and controlled to huge, roaring vintage sounds. Gehenna boasts one of the most expansive and easy-to-use EQ sections of any pedal. Active dual-band mid control lets you adjust both high and low mids independently. A set of active treble and bass controls, as well as passive presence and depth controls, sets it apart from other distortion/preamp pedals and provides a huge amount of tone adjustment functionality. By combining passive and active controls, you can get a variety of sounds, from classic amp-like distortion to dirtiest sounds you've ever heard.

Instead of adding another boost before the distortion section, we added a second gain control that can be toggled with a footswitch. This allows you to switch between two gain levels within the incredible spectrum that Gehenna offers. Gain I on state is indicated by a blue LED.

Another unique feature is the level control itself. While many solid-state-based devices tend to sound harsh and gritty at higher volumes, Gehenna has a unique active output stage that brings the sound together by attenuating harsh frequencies while bringing out musical midrange at higher level settings. This is very similar to a tube amp. Gehenna is designed to be used as a distortion pedal before a clean amp, but its huge output level and flexible EQ means it can also be used as a preamp. However, in this case you may need to use extreme settings, especially on the presence and treble controls.
