Digitone II is a synthesizer that can transform your sounds into colorful sounds. This machine has polyphonic capabilities to create a wide range of sounds. It expands your creative possibilities by producing unique melodic and rhythmic sounds.
Synth Machines
Synth machines are the route to generating sound on the Digitone II. There are four synth machines, each with its own character and all with tweakability.

Wavetone
Dive into Wavetone, a fresh take on the classic two-oscillator synthesizer. Morph oscillator shapes, add phase distortion and oscillator modulation, and precisely define the flavor of your noise.

Swarmer
Take your buzz to the next level with Swarmer. The Super Saw-in-Origin cluster gives you lots of waveform control across your swarm. Choose your shape and combine with detune and noise modulation controls for rich, complex textures.

FM Tone
FM Tone is the original Digitone FM synthesis engine, letting you twist your sound in all sorts of fascinating directions.

FM Drum
Unleash FM Drum and harness its percussive flexibility and tweakability to create your own smacks, booms, and everything in between. Contrary to the name, melodic magic is also possible.

Modularity
This is a box packed with modulation goodness, with modularity at its core. With flexible workflows, interchangeable synth machines, and a variety of filter options, you're free to shape your soundscapes according to your creative vision. Digitone II's extended filters show just how much depth is possible. Try Comb- and Comb+, or try Multimode, EQ, Lowpass 4, and Legacy LP/HP. The Bass Width filter is also more flexible than ever, and can be placed before other filters or at the end of an audio track chain. Each voice has a dedicated amp envelope. ADSR adds control and clarity, while AHD maximizes percussive sounds. Use the three LFOs and their various destinations and controls to push your sounds into unpredictable, yet evocative, territory.

FX Page
The FX page gives you even more options to refine your sound. Immerse your sound in what works best: lush delays and reverbs, shimmering or dissonant choruses, or thumping bit reduction, sample rate reduction and overdrive that can be placed before or after the filter. Mix it all together for the perfect potion.

Use the Master Compressor from the Mixer page to open up side chains and other parameters, as well as the Master Overdrive for even more distortion control.

Elektron Sequencer
The Elektron Sequencer is the beating heart of the instrument. 128 steps offer a variety of parameter locking possibilities, allowing you to dive into different territories step by step. Or record your tweaks live as you twist. Switch to Euclidean Sequencer mode to combine two pulse generators to create math-driven sequences with an almost primal feel, opening up new creative avenues. Per-step conditions, configurable probabilities and retriggering give you even more control. Use Page Loops to get even more granular when composing and performing.

Performance and Playability
Digitone II is packed with tools to maximize performance and playability. Note Editing lets you thoroughly edit every note of your chord. Tweak the note, length, speed, and even micro-timing of each note. Hit the Arpeggiator button to explore rhythmic and melodic ideas. Take your sound even further with customizable modulation settings for aftertouch, pitch bend, modulation wheel, velocity and breath control, and the newly added key tracking. Each has four assignable parameter destinations and independent depth. Connect an external MIDI controller and get the freedom to manipulate.

Packed with Preset Sounds
Packed with great preset sounds to use right out of the box, Digitone II can inspire you right from the start, or give you a sound that you can tune exactly to what you need. Save your special sounds to a kit to save sounds, synth parameters, modulation destinations, and more for all your tracks, and quickly and easily recall them when starting your next track. Use Perform Kits to try out some wild tweaks and try kits that are completely different from ljudlab. Save states are never overwritten.

Control All
Control All gives you full simultaneous control over parameters so you can tweak settings for all or individual tracks. Four trigger modes allow the 16 trigger keys to have different functions. For example, you can adjust velocity levels, change retrigger speed, or select and record multiple preset sounds to one track. There is also a Song mode, which makes it easy to create a playlist of your patterns. Edit and tweak as you play.
