YAMAHA's flagship synthesizer ""MONTAGE"" series has evolved and is now available. Equipped with the newly developed virtual analog sound source ""AN-X"", the expressive power of sound has been greatly enhanced. 4-piece set includes pedal switch, keyboard stand, speaker, and connection cable.

1. Equipped with the newly developed virtual analog sound source ""AN-X"", greatly enhancing the expressive power of sound
The most distinctive feature of the MONTAGE series is the ``Motion Control Synthesis Engine,'' a total sound source system that combines a ``hybrid sound source'' and ``Motion Control,'' which realizes continuous changes in complex sounds using a variety of control sources.
In the ``MONTAGE M'' series, we have added the newly developed ``AN-X'', a virtual analog sound source with up to 16 notes of polyphonic sound, to the ``hybrid sound source'' that is the core of this sound source system. Centered on the oscillator section, it has a wide variety of modulation and waveform transformation functions with a high degree of freedom, making it possible to express everything from vintage sounds to edgy and radical sounds, making it a sound source that combines elements of tradition and innovation. Together with the FM sound source ``FM-X'', which has 8 operators and up to 128 notes polyphonic, and the sound source ``AWM2'' (up to 256 notes polyphonic), which doubles the built-in waveform and is equipped with higher-definition sound, the three sound engines can produce a total of up to 400 notes simultaneously.
The sound that combines the thick and warm analog sound of the AN-X sound source, the unique digital sound of the FM-X sound source, the realistic acoustic sound of the AWM2 sound source, and the MotionControl that controls them in a complex manner provides a unique and overwhelming sound expressive power.

""Motion Control"", which is the other core of the ""Motion Control Synthesis Engine"", can smoothly change the layered sound by operating the controller, giving the sound a lively and dynamic feel. The ``MONTAGE M'' series has a variety of control sources, but two distinctive ones are ``Super Knob'' and ``Motion Sequencer.''
""Super Knob"" is a knob that can control up to 280 parameters at once, allowing you to express dynamic sound changes with simple operation. The ""Motion Sequencer"" allows you to set and play back parameter changes using up to 8+1 controllers (8 for parts, 1 for Super Knob), allowing you to change the sound in a multi-layered and complex manner while performing. In addition, it is equipped with an Audio Beat Sync function that automatically detects the beat of the audio input to the A/D input terminal and synchronizes the Motion Sequencer, etc., and an envelope follower function that generates control information using an audio signal as a source.By utilizing a variety of control sources, you can enjoy performances with dynamic sound changes.
In addition to the above, the MONTAGE M series features further improvements in control performance, including KEYBOARD HOLD, PORTAMENTO dedicated control, and RIBBON CONTROLLER, which can also be used as a switch for up to 5 zones.

Like the previous series, in addition to the touch panel that serves as the main screen in the center of the user interface, the ``MONTAGE M'' series also includes a ``display knob'' and ``NAVIGATION'' button at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to efficiently cover everything from tone selection to detailed editing. Additionally, a new sub-screen ""Second Display"" has been added. Displays important synthesizer parameters such as the AN-X's oscillator, filter, FM frequency, operator level, and effect parameters, allowing you to instantly edit the sound.
""PAGE JUMP"" is placed on the right side of the sub screen. More detailed information about the parameter selected on the sub screen can be instantly displayed and accessed on the main screen. A user interface that enables faster and more intuitive sound creation and control brings out the creativity of players.

4. High-quality keyboard that allows you to differentiate the subtle nuances of your touch
The 61-key model ""MONTAGE M6"" and the 76-key model ""MONTAGE M7"" are equipped with FSX keyboards (compatible with channel aftertouch), which are high-quality keyboards for flagship synthesizers. Furthermore, the 88-key model ""MONTAGEM M8x"" uses a newly developed ""Graded hammer with Enhanced eXpression (GEX) keyboard."" This keyboard uses a new keyboard sensor to achieve ""polyphonic aftertouch,"" which gives independent tonal changes for each key. For a comfortable playing feel, we use highly hygroscopic white keys and black wood-like keys.
Both keyboards are high-quality keyboards that can differentiate the subtle nuances of the touch, and the keyboard touch and sound have been carefully matched to make the most of the highly expressive sound source system ""Motion Control Synthesis Engine.""

5. A soft synthesizer that reproduces the entire sound source section of “MONTAGE M” is available (available from 2024)
The ``MONTAGE M'' series includes a download code for ``EXPANDED SOFTSYNTH PLUGIN for MONTAGE M,'' a clone soft synthesizer from the ``MONTAGE M'' series that can be used and linked in both live performances and music production. We plan to start downloading v1.0 (with limited editing functions) in early 2024, and v2.0 (full-featured version) after the summer of the same year.
