EARTHQUAKER DEVICES / Dirt Transmitter

The Dirt Transmitter is a fuzz that was sadly discontinued in 2017, and is now being resold in a limited number of units.

It features a sharp, biting sound and high gain using silicon transistors, has a wide range, and can be used as a solid overdrive by turning down the Fuzz. Another feature is the Bias knob. When you tighten the control that adjusts the amount of current sent to the transistor, a gate is applied and the characteristic buzzing sound changes. When used with bass, you can also adjust the Bias to create a synth bass-like effect. This unit provides a variety of sounds, from strong smooth fuzz and overdrive sounds to gated fuzz.

■Control
Fuzz: Adjustment of the amount of fuzz. Turning the knob to the left will decrease it, and turning it to the right will increase it.
Tone: Tone adjustment. Turning the knob to the left will reduce the treble, and turning it to the right will make the treble sound more sharp.
Bias: Bias adjustment. The operations here are the basics of the Dart Transmitter. Adjust the voltage applied to the transistor here. When the knob is set to maximum, it will be the basic sound with the bias adjusted by us. Please try adjusting Bisa based on that. Turning the knob to the left produces a low-voltage, low-voltage, gated fuzz, while turning it to the right changes the tone to a thicker, more natural fuzz.

・Flexi switching
This product is equipped with Flexi-Switch (Flexi-Switch?) functionality. It is an electronic relay type true bypass, and depending on how you press it, it can be used as a regular latching switch or a momentary switch (unlatching type).
When using it as a latch type switch, just like a normal effect switch, press it once when you want to turn it on, and press it once again when you want to turn it off.
When used as a momentary switch, the effect will be on only while the switch is depressed, and will be off once the switch is released.
Since it uses an electronic relay type switch, the input signal will not be output unless power is supplied.
·power supply
This product can be used with a 9V AC adapter and a 2.1mm center negative adapter. We do not recommend using daisy chains or non-transformer power adapters as they may generate noise. Also, please do not use a power supply exceeding 9V as this may cause a malfunction!
