Taking your high-quality sound experience to the next level.
A serious model that expands the way you enjoy record playback
Audio-Technica introduced the AT-LP7, its flagship record player, in 2018, and it continues to receive rave reviews even six years after its release. Recently, the growing global popularity of vinyl has led to a growing demand for even more advanced analog record playback. In response to this, we developed the AT-LP8X record player, which not only improves sound quality but also expands the range of customization that is a uniquely enjoyable aspect of analog, allowing you to create the ideal listening environment.
This product uses a direct drive system. The newly developed DC servo motor intentionally reduces rotational torque, and combined with a control system that accurately maintains rotational speed and a platter equipped with a vibration damper, improves wow and flutter performance and ensures stable operation. In addition to 33-1/3 and 45 rpm, it also supports 78 rpm, expanding your listening experience, including playback of SP records.
Each component is carefully crafted, featuring a universal tonearm and Audio-Technica's traditional J-shaped design. The height adjustment allows for precise setup. The new AT-LT10 headshell and versatile AT-VM95E cartridge are both standard equipment, and upgrades are possible with the optional ""AT-VM95"" series replacement stylus. Furthermore, by using the included subweight, the maximum cartridge weight is increased to 23.5g (including headshell), allowing for the use of heavier MC cartridges and headshells. This allows for a wider range of cartridge compatibility, including your current cartridges, expanding the scope of customization.
Auto-Stop Function
- A reliable design that automatically raises the tonearm and stops the platter when playback ends.
When playback ends, the lifter automatically raises and stops the platter, protecting the record and stylus.
Auto-stop timing has been optimized for 33-1/3, 45, and 78 rpm records.
The lifter uses a button-operated mechanism for smoother operation rather than a lever. The auto-stop timing automatically changes depending on the selected RPM.
- Auto-stop function can be disabled for manual operation.
