■Audio interface

MADIface XT, the predecessor of MADIface XT II, ??was the world's first USB 3.0 audio interface released in 2013, and was praised as the world's smallest portable audio interface with three MADI inputs and outputs in a compact housing and access to hundreds of audio channels.

The successor model, MADIface XT II, ??maintains the same compact housing and abundant channel count, but has updated digital and analog circuits, achieving performance that surpasses that of the previous model. Significant performance improvements have been made in both the analog and digital areas, and the SN ratio and THD values ??during AD/DA conversion have been improved, achieving even higher accuracy and stable performance.

It is equipped with a variety of functions, including 3 MADI systems, 196 inputs / 198 outputs, 192 kHz support, class-compliant USB 3.0 capable of transmitting 394 channels, SteadyClock FS jitter suppression function, TotalMix FX DSP digital mixer for flexible mix and patchbay, Room EQ capable of 9-band equalization on output channels, and direct connection function for USB controller ARC USB (sold separately).

■USB3 class compliant audio
MADIface XT II operates in three different modes: driver-based USB 2 or USB 3, standalone mode, and class compliant mode (CC mode).

CC mode is a standard that is natively supported by operating systems such as Windows, Mac OS, and Linux distributions; no proprietary drivers are required; devices are recognized directly when the CC firmware is loaded.

By using the TotalMix FX for iPad app in CC mode, you can control MADIface XT II entirely from your iPad, adding professional-level analog input and output to your iPad.

MADIface XT II eliminates the PCI Express port installed on the previous MADIface XT and uses only a USB 3.0 port. The new MADIface XT II's Class Compliant mode has been significantly updated to allow it to theoretically transmit and receive all 394 channels without a driver. Additionally, it provides configurable routing options to give you the flexibility to take advantage of class-compliant mode.
