Jimi Hendrix is widely recognized as one of the most innovative guitarists in rock music, a player who advanced the guitar to a realm no one had ever reached. Epiphone, in partnership with Gibson Custom and the Hendrix family, is pleased to announce the reissue of the Jimi Hendrix “Love Drops” Flying V, the guitar Jimi used extensively from 1967 to 1969, as part of the Inspired by Gibson Custom Series Inspired by Gibson Custom Series. Originally finished in sunburst, the guitar was refinished in ebony with psychedelic graphics hand-painted by Jimi Hendrix himself. With this release, the design has been faithfully reproduced.

The Jimi Hendrix “Love Drops” Flying V features a one-piece neck with a round C profile, a laurel wood fingerboard, and a 22-fret setup with medium jumbo frets.The back of the 1967-style Flying V headstock features a ” It is equipped with Epiphone deluxe tuners and a short Maestro Vibrola. In the electrical section, Gibson Custombucker humbucker pickups are wired to a CTS potentiometer, Mallory tone capacitor, Switchcraft 3-way pickup select switch and 1/4” output jack. An Epiphone hardshell case with “Inspired by Gibson Custom” and “Authentic Hendrix” logos is also included.
