Introducing the Lizard King, the new successor to Electro Harmonix's octave fuzz, directly inspired by the EHX x JHS collaboration released in 2023, the Lizard King is the gnarly, responsive Lizard Queen optimized octave fuzz circuit as its base.

With the updated tone control and new Blend knob, the basic tone and low end of the bass remains intact, while the top end of the fuzz is shaped to fit or dominate any mix!
The EHX Lizard King is a dynamically responsive fixed gain fuzz. Adjusting the volume of your instrument affects the amount of fuzz. Turning down the instrument's volume results in a clear, fuzzy overdrive, while turning up the instrument's volume to maximum gains a searing tone for riffs and solos. The familiar VOLUME and OCTAVE knobs control the overall output and octave blend volume, respectively, while the Lizard King's new BLEND knob sets the mix of clean and fuzz tones, preserving the attack and low end of the bass and The TONE knob is a low-pass filter that rolls off the high frequencies, and the SUN/SHADOW switch further emphasizes the octave fuzz and clean tones. SUN boosts the octave fuzz to a more driven midrange, while the clean tone, accessed by the BLEND knob, emphasizes more treble and bass frequencies. When the switch is set to SHADOW, the clean tone remains unchanged and the fuzz tone becomes tighter.
