Newly released from the ""Inspired by Gibson"" collection, the Epiphone Les Paul Standard 60s brings back the sound, look, and feel of early '60s Les Pauls.

Epiphone and Les Paul (great guitarist, musician, and inventor!!) have had a long friendship dating back to 1940. The young Les Paul worked on prototypes night after night at the Epiphone workshop in Manhattan, and created ""the Log,"" which is said to be one of the world's first solid-body electric guitars. The results of ""the Log"" were later reflected in the development and birth of the Les Paul model, which is still coveted by many guitar players today as the best electric guitar.

The body top is made of maple, and the top is decorated with AAA grade flame maple veneer in a translucent color that makes the heather grain stand out, creating the look of the ""flame top"" of yesteryear. The Laurel fingerboard features a pearloid dish inlay and medium jumbo frets. The 60s SlimTaper profile neck shape contributes to smooth playability, and the Grover Rotomatic tuner and Graph Tech nut in the head provide stable tuning. It uses two of Epiphone's well-established Probucker pickups, with Probucker 2 in the neck position and Probucker 3 with higher output in the bridge position. Each pickup is connected to a pair of CTS volume and tone controls.
