The SG Standard features a contoured body shape for a perfect fit, and a double cutaway provides easy access to all 22 frets. The set-neck joint contributes to the SG's high sustain. The neck shape features a slim taper C profile, allowing for fast and smooth fingering. The laurel fingerboard with medium jumbo frets features pearloid dish inlays and a 12-inch fingerboard radius, making it easy to play chords in the lower positions and bend notes in the upper positions. Features like Grover Rotomatic tuners, a Graph Tech nut, an Epiphone LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge, and a Stop Bar tailpiece ensure stable tuning and precise intonation. ■Body: Mahogany
