Inspired by a little-known fuzzbox called ``Fuzzy Nuts'' (I'm not making this up), the Golden Fleece is a versatile dirt box that perfectly blends fuzz, distortion, and overdrive in one little golden box.

Bosstone回路にインスピレーションを得たHephaestusは、あのクラシックな「Spirit in the Sky」ファズボックスへのオマージュとして誕生しました。NPNとPNPトランジスタペアを組み合わせることで、おなじみのゲインサウンドが得られますが、それだけでは十分ではありません。そこで、Warningノブを使用します。

WARNINGノブは電圧調整で、回路のパラメータをシフトします。ノブを1時の位置に回すと、ワイルドでアナログなサブオクターブ効果が得られます。同時に、こうしたペダルに求められるクラシックなファズクリーンアップも維持されます。

Variable Voltage

Hephaestusの表面にある唯一のWarningノブは、回路の電圧を調整します。完全に時計回り(5時)に回すと、単純なファズサウンドが得られ、ノブを戻していくと、サブオクターブやその他の倍音がロック解除され始めます。これらのサウンドのバランスとギターとの相互作用は、ノブをどこに設定するかによって変化するため、いろいろ試して、ノブが最適に機能する場所を見つけてください。

内部には小さなボリュームトリマーがあり、これを好みの位置に設定してしまえば、それほど頻繁に調整する必要はありません。

One knob controls only the circuit's output, so adjust gain level and timbre with your fingers and guitar controls. With all the knobs turned down, you get a strong, rich fuzz sound that sounds great when you push the amp.
The inside of the Golden Fleece is different from the one-knob fuzz. Rather than relying on a transistor pair for the fuzz, this pedal uses a very special silicon and germanium diode pair. Zach chose a very special NOS germanium diode that gives the Golden Fleece a unique and versatile fuzz voice. There are no other internal settings, pots, switches, etc. The philosophy of this pedal is to just switch your mind and play the guitar.
Like many fuzzes before it, the Golden Fleece has its quirks. Best placed before the buffer. Buffers include buffered tuners, buffered effects loops, switching systems, etc. Buffers reduce response and drastically change the tone of the pedal.
Similarly, Golden Fleece is sensitive to power and signals, so use a high quality isolated power supply and good quality cables for the best tone.
