Road tested in arenas around the world by legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen, the Wolfgang Special is a thoroughbred musical instrument with stunning style, explosive sound and specifications to withstand high-speed playing.

The Wolfgang Special QM, Baked Maple features a basswood body with an arched quilted maple top and a bolt-on quarter-sawn baked maple neck reinforced with sturdy graphite and hand-finished with a urethane back to match Eddie Van Halen's stoic specifications. The ebony fingerboard with a 12"-16" compound radius for energetic riffs and leads features 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays. The neck end has a spoke wheel for easy truss rod adjustment.

Two custom-designed EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbuckers are direct-mounted to the body, providing dynamic yet clear voicing as well as rich sustain for powerful chords and melody lines. The combination of the sturdy and reliable EVH branded Floyd Rose locking tremolo and Floyd Rose locking nut keeps the guitar in tune even with extreme arm playing. The bridge is also equipped with a convenient EVH D-Tuna that allows you to instantly switch to drop D tuning. The 500K EVH Bourns Low Friction Pot used in the volume knob with treble bleed circuit allows for smooth volume playing, and the 250K EVH Bourns High Friction Pot used in the tone control knob prevents tone shifts due to accidental operation.
