The Wolfgang WG Standard is an affordable model that delivers the unique styling and epic scale sound specified by Eddie Van Halen.

The Wolfgang WG Standard is equipped with many of the same features as its high-grade upper models, and the basswood body has a special "Comfort Cut" contour for maximum playability. The bolt-on baked maple neck with built-in graphite reinforcement rod minimizes the effects of environmental changes. The heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel allows for quick and easy truss rod adjustment. In addition, the neck back is oil-finished for comfortable playability, and the baked maple fingerboard with a 12-16 inch compound radius and carefully edged edges features 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays.

Two EVH Wolfgang humbuckers directly mounted on the body reproduce delicate playing nuances and provide rich sustain. The two control knobs are made to Eddie's stoic specifications, and the smooth 500K pots produce a unique tone with a long string. The EVH brand Floyd Rose Special Tremolo and R2 locking nut maintain stable tuning even during heavy arm movements.
