D'Angelico / Deluxe Bedford SH Limited Edition Sapphire

D'Angelico's "Deluxe Bedford SH Limited Edition" is a limited edition model based on an offset body shape reminiscent of the 1960s and featuring a semi-solid construction with a large f-hole on the 6th string side.

The original shape of the pickguard, which is very Di Angelico, is a solid white 5-ply with a design reminiscent of part of an f-hole.
The headstock and neck are decorated with binding, and the design combined with the mother-of-pearl/avalon presence of the split block position markers is chic and gorgeous.
The body is alder on both top and sides & back, with a maple/walnut/maple neck and rosewood fingerboard.
The 24.75" scale is used, and the neck is a 3-piece construction with walnut between the maple to resist warping and twisting.
The neck joint is a unique heel-less design that allows the neck to reach deep into the body (covering the entire front pickup), like a through neck, and has a large gluing area, resulting in a "set-through" neck joint that is both playable and strong at high frets. This allows for a wider gluing area, which provides both playability and strength at high frets.
It also features a dual-action truss rod, which is adjusted on the head side.
The distinctive headstock design continues the D'Angelico tradition.
The truss rod cover is made of aluminum, and its design has a strong presence inspired by the skyscrapers of New York City with its Art Deco architecture (such as the Empire State Building), which was popular in New York City around 1930.
Two stacked Seymour Duncan "P-90 Stack" pickups provide bold single-coil tone with low noise.
Controls include 1 volume, 1 tone, and a 3-way pickup selector layout.
Hardware is selected in satin nickel for a vintage-style minimalist aesthetic, with Grover's "509" Super Rotomatic locking machine head and Tune-O-Matic & Stopbar tailpiece.
The color is sapphire.
