D'Angelico / Excel Mini DC Viola

The Excel Mini DC Viola is a semi-hollow body electric guitar with an original double cutaway shape and center block construction, measuring 14 inches (355.6 mm) wide and 1.75 inches (44.45 mm) thick.

The original pickguard, which is characteristic of D'Angelico, is designed to resemble a part of an f-hole, and the viola color is a tortoise shell pattern (5 ply).
The body top, headstock and neck are decorated with binding, and the design, combined with the mother-of-pearl/avalon split block position markers, gives a chic and gorgeous impression.
The body material is maple for the top, sides and back.
The maple/walnut/maple neck has an ebony fingerboard.
The scale is 24.75 inches (628.65 mm), and the neck is a three-piece structure with walnut sandwiched between maple, which is resistant to warping and twisting.
The neck joint is also a set neck joint.
In addition, it is equipped with a dual action truss rod, which is adjusted on the head side.
The distinctive headstock design inherits the tradition of D'Angelico.
The truss rod cover is made of aluminum, and its striking design is inspired by the skyscrapers of New York City, where Art Deco architecture (such as the Empire State Building) was popular around 1930.
The pickups are two metal-covered USA Seymour Duncan 59 humbuckers.
The controls are a two-volume, two-tone, three-way pickup selector layout, and the tone of each pickup doubles as a coil split push-pull switch, for a total of eight coil combinations.
The hardware is all gold, and it features reliable Grover Super Rotomatic machine heads, stop tailpiece and Tune-O-Matic bridge.
The viola has a gloss finish and a color that makes use of the maple wood grain.
A hard case is included.
