D'Angelico / Deluxe Atlantic Desert Gold

The Deluxe Atlantic Desert Gold features the original 13.25" (336.55mm) wide single cutaway shape with escutcheon and two humbucker pickups for a warm vintage tone.

The original shape of the pickguard, which is typical of Di Angelico, is reminiscent of part of the f-holes and is a cream pearl color.
The binding on the body top (7-ply), headstock and neck (3-ply), combined with the mother-of-pearl/avalon split block position markers, gives a chic and gorgeous impression.
Body material is Alder.
The three-piece maple and walnut neck and ebony fingerboard are the other wood materials used on the instrument.
The 24.75" (628.65mm) scale is used, and the 3-piece neck is made of maple with walnut between the maple to resist warping and twisting.
The neck joint is a unique heel-less design that allows the neck to reach the back of the body (where it covers the entire front pickup) like a through-neck, thus providing a wider gluing area, and a "set-through" neck joint that combines playability and strength at high frets. This allows for a wider gluing area, which provides both playability and strength at high frets.
It also features a dual-action truss rod, which is adjusted on the head side.
The distinctive headstock design continues the D'Angelico tradition.
The truss rod cover is made of aluminum and has a strong presence inspired by the skyscrapers of New York City with its Art Deco architecture (such as the Empire State Building), which was popular in New York City around 1930.
The pickups are two metal-covered USA Seymour Duncan Seth Lover™ A4 humbuckers.
The controls are a 2-volume, 2-tone, 3-way pickup selector layout, with the tone of each pickup also serving as a push-pull switch for the coil split, for a total of 8 different coil combinations.
The hardware is selected nickel, with Grover Super Rotomatic locking machine heads for tuning stability, and a tune-o-matic & stop bar tailpiece.
The color is Desert Gold with a gloss finish.
A hard case is included.
