D'Angelico / Excel 59 Vintage Natural

The Excel 59 Vintage Natural is a 16-inch (406.4 mm) wide, 1.75-inch (44.45 mm) thick original single cutaway hollow body guitar, a modern take on the design created by John D'Angelico in 1959.

The original pickguard is five-ply black, with a shape that is characteristic of D'Angelico.
The body top, headstock and neck are decorated with binding, and the design, combined with the mother-of-pearl/avalon split block position markers, gives a chic and gorgeous impression.
The body features a spruce top and flame maple sides and back, and the maple/walnut/maple neck has an ebony fingerboard.
The scale is 25 inches (635 mm), and the neck is a three-piece structure with walnut sandwiched between maple, which is resistant to warping and twisting.
The neck joint is also a set neck joint.
In addition, it is equipped with a dual action truss rod, which is adjusted on the head side.
The distinctive headstock design inherits the tradition of D'Angelico.
The truss rod cover is made of aluminum, and its striking design is inspired by the skyscrapers of New York City, where Art Deco architecture (such as the Empire State Building) was popular around 1930.

The pickups are two Seymour Duncan D'Angelico Great Dane P90s.

The controls are one volume and one tone, and a three-way pickup selector switch is used.

The black cupcake control knobs and black chicken head switch knobs also create a classic look.

The hardware is all gold, and it features reliable Grover Imperial machine heads, Tune-O-Matic and Steer Step tailpieces.

The finish is gloss, and the color is vintage natural.
