The MercuryX is a pedal reverb unit with studio quality and maximum flexibility. You can create your own custom reverbs by combining modular modulation, dynamics, preamp, pitch and more.
■8 types of Meris reverbs.
The MercuryX includes eight different reverbs.
‘Ultraplate’ and ‘Cathedra’ are reverbs that were previously included in the popular Mercury7, and were designed with the unique sci-fi soundtrack of the Blade Runner film in mind.
‘The 78 Room’, ‘Plate’ and ‘Hall’ are studio classics that sound exactly as you'd expect them to.
Spring, Prism and Gravity are special sounds developed especially for the MercuryX, and their uniqueness and beauty make them sound like ‘Meris in a nutshell’.
■ No longer a delay and reverb complex! Feedback routing.
The input signal is split into dry and wet, and the wet signal goes through a filter and then into the same feedback section as the delay.
There it passes through the pre-delay circuit, which is surprisingly similar to a normal delay pedal in its parameters.
Normally, reverb pre-delay is a parameter that is set for less than one second, and is supposed to cause the reverb to start sounding a little later than the original sound.
If you were to describe the effect in words, it would be something like ‘jingle... jwahhhhhh’.
However, the MercuryX has a long delay time of up to 2.54 seconds, and it also has a feedback parameter, so you can create ‘jingle, jangle, jangle, jangle, jangle, jangle’ delay + reverb effects with just one unit.
Unlimited combinations... a wealth of effects like a multi-effects pedal.
Modular effects such as dynamics and pitch can be inserted in various positions before, after or in the feedback of the delay circuit.
The MercuryX can be used to create unique reverb sounds that used to require multiple effects, such as distorting the wet signal with a pre-amp circuit or applying tremolo, only with the MercuryX inside.
