The mahogany body features a deep cutaway that improves access to the high positions, a design inherited from the original Charvel San Dimas basses of the late 1970s.

The ultra-thin bolt-on maple Charvel Speed ​​neck follows the original styling, features a gorgeous caramelized finish, and features features such as a built-in graphite reinforcement rod and a heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel for stiffness and adjustability. The caramelized maple fingerboard with a compound radius of 12 to 16 inches is designed to gradually flatten from the nut to the heel of the neck, allowing for smooth playing along the entire length of the neck.

Also, like the original, the high-power Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass PJ IV MAH is equipped with a DiMarzio pickup. The bridge uses a Model J pickup with a punch, and the middle uses a Model P pickup with a warm, fat tone and midrange stickiness. Equipped with a 3-band active EQ, pickup blend control, and master volume with push/pull selector to enable a variety of sound design possibilities. The push/pull selector bypasses the EQ's active circuit and switches to the analog circuit by simply pulling the volume knob, so you don't have to worry about the remaining battery power.

A Charvel HiMass bridge, Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut, and open gear tuning machine improve tuning stability and sonic punch and sustain.

Available in Natural Mahogany with gold hardware and Satin Ferrari Red with chrome hardware. Both models feature cream-colored pickup covers and Fender-licensed Precision Bass headstocks.
