Wolfgang Van Halen, son of Eddie Van Halen, redefines what a modern guitar should be in the 21st century with the SA-126Special.

“The SA-126 is a hybrid of a semi-hollow guitar and a solid body guitar, combining a chambered/center block solid body with a bolt-on neck, slim neck, jumbo frets, high output pickups, and other specifications known as the standard for high performance guitars. It has all the features of a classic high-performance guitar. Conceived by Wolfgang, this model was designed with versatility in mind, supporting both crushing rhythm playing and high-speed solo playing with superb tonal balance.
The SA-126 features a chambered mahogany body with an additional basswood center block for rigidity and exceptional tone. The solid-color model features a maple top, while the transparent-color model has a quilted maple top and 5-ply body binding. The mahogany neck features a built-in graphite reinforcement rod and a 12- to 16-inch compound-radius ebony fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets and triple block inlays. 24.75-inch scale provides a comfortable and approachable modern classic-like The 24.75” scale provides a comfortable and approachable modern-classic-like feel. A spoke wheel on the neck end allows for easy truss rod adjustment.
Created by Fender's resident pickup designer Tim Shaw and the EVH team, the EVH SA-126 bridge and neck pickup offers a wide range of tones, from glassy clean tones to the ultimate drive tones that will satisfy even the most discerning of gain sound fans. A three-way toggle switch located on the upper horn allows you to switch between bridge, bridge & neck, and neck pickup positions, while two volume and two tone knobs provide individual pickup control. Other features include a Harmonica bridge, stop bar tailpiece, oversized strap buttons, and keystone tuning pegs.
This model comes with an SA126 hard case with ivory-colored exterior and crushed blue velvet interior.
