~A piano that makes you want to play Chopin~
Poetry is a unique digital piano equipped with two piano sounds associated with Chopin: the "PLEYEL," the piano that the poet of piano Frederic Chopin loved most during his lifetime, and the world's best Italian piano, which was also used in the famous Chopin Competition.
The "PLEYEL" sound of the time is rare and coveted, as it was born in the 19th century and there are not many units left from that time, making it difficult to hear. This digital piano, which contains high-quality samples, conveys the sound of that time to the present day, while also being easy to use as an electronic instrument that does not require regular tuning or maintenance.
Poetry is a product focused on Chopin, who is highly regarded as a classical music composer and pianist, and will provide piano and Chopin lovers around the world with a new way to enjoy Chopin's music.

■ Two piano tones that let you encounter Chopin
Poetry is equipped with two piano tones: a PLEYEL piano made in 1843 when Chopin was 33 years old, and an Italian concert grand piano that is also used in the world-famous Chopin Competition.
The PLEYEL piano is characterized by its rich sound that gives off the warmth of the walnut wood used in the piano body, which sets it apart from many other pianos. In order to further experience the PLEYEL sound, the PLEYEL3, which has the same 80 keys as the real thing, has a pitch of 430Hz, faithfully reproducing the sound that Chopin would have heard playing at that time.
The Italian piano has a gorgeous, transparent sound with rich expressiveness. This piano, which plays the same music in a modern style, inspires the imagination that if that timeless composer had existed today, he would have been inspired to create that piece.

■ Stylish appearance with beautiful wood grain
The beautiful and elegant wood grain exterior, named "Poetic Brown", is inspired by the gentle atmosphere that Chopin exudes, and the pedals and feet are decorated with gold to create a high-quality atmosphere. It is slim with a depth of just 26 cm (excluding the anti-tipping brackets), and it also has the convenience of being flat when the lid is closed.

■ Comfortable touch RH-3 keyboard ~ Premium Japan quality
The Real Weighted Hammer Action 3 (RH3) keyboard is used, which reproduces the touch that is heavy in the bass and lighter in the treble, just like a grand piano. With high repetition performance, it reproduces the dynamics of the sound without compromising the expressiveness of the performer even in fast passages. This keyboard is also environmentally friendly, and does not use lead in the hammer part of the keyboard. In addition, it supports key touch control, which allows you to set the sound output in five stages (light, standard, heavy, stable, constant) depending on the strength of your touch, so you can enjoy playing according to your own touch.

■50 Chopin masterpieces on the piano itself

50 Chopin masterpieces on the piano itself. These can be compared with the Italian piano and PLEYEL tones. In addition, 23 carefully selected songs are included with the piano, so you can enjoy playing and listening to Chopin's music as soon as you get this piano (10 other tone demo songs are also included).

~About the PLEYEL piano~
○About the 1843 PLEYEL
The 1843 PLEYEL piano included in Poetry was made when Chopin was 33 years old. This piano was transported to Japan from a certain region in France in the same condition as it was then, and all parts other than consumables that needed repair were ordered from France, and it was restored to a condition as close as possible to that of 1843.

○Features of PLEYEL
The PLEYEL piano is said to have been a piano that Chopin refused to change its "single action" system. PLEYEL also did not change this system for 14 years even after Chopin's death. Single action is a keyboard structure that makes it difficult to play fast successive notes, as the next key cannot be played unless the key (hammer) is completely returned. Modern pianos have a "double escapement" structure, which allows keys to be played even if the hammer is not completely returned, making fast successive notes possible and allowing for virtuoso and flashy performances.
Modern pianos have evolved to be able to resonate in large venues such as concert halls, but until the mid-19th century, there were no large venues like concert halls, and salon concerts were the norm. If you look at a painting from that time, you can see Chopin playing in a salon, with a woman listening intently with her elbows on the piano.

Furthermore, in the days before this, there was no such instrument as the piano, and the only keyboard instruments were the harpsichord and the pipe organ. The harpsichord is loud enough to be used in an orchestra, but on the other hand, it is difficult to play it softly. When the harpsichord is played in a salon, the sound is quite loud. To solve this problem, an instrument called the "fortepiano," the predecessor of the piano, was introduced, and the hammer action, which allows soft sounds to be played, was invented. It is thought that the most important thing at that time was to be able to play at a low volume.

The PLEYEL also has a mute board. The high notes are quiet and the low notes are loud, so the balance is poor when played, so this mute board is attached to lower the volume of the mid-low range and crescendo to the high range to balance the music. Taking this into account, the PLEYEL is not a fortissimo, but a piano that speaks music beautifully with delicate expression.
