■CONTROLS
Time: Adjusts the delay time. Turning clockwise will give you a longer delay time, and turning counter-clockwise will give you a shorter delay time. The delay time range is 80-1200ms. When using the minimum delay time, set it to eighth notes.
Tone: Use the TONE knob to adjust the delay's tilt EQ. Turning it clockwise cuts the low range and boosts the high range, and turning it counterclockwise
cuts the high range and boosts the low range.
Tap Division Left Switch (Mod Wave Shape): You can select from quarter notes, dotted eighth notes, and eighth note repeats for the left channel. While holding down the BYPASS switch, use the DIV L switch to select a waveform from sine, square, or random.
Tap Division Right Switch (Mod Phase) : You can choose from quarter notes, dotted eighth notes, and eighth note repeats for the right channel. While holding down the BYPASS switch, use the DIV R switch to select a phase type from 0-90-180
. 0 is the same phase, for a classic modulation sound. And at 180, the phase is out of phase, and you can get a wide modulation sound where the left side rises and the right side falls
Feedback Mode Switch: You can choose from P (parallel), PP (ping-pong), and S (series) delay types
Sync/Left/Right Switch: You can choose which side of the pedal you want to adjust. With SYNC, you can adjust both sides, with L you can adjust the left side only, and with R you can adjust the right side only. This is where the magic of the pedal happens. You can get completely independent time, note length, modulation depth/rate/shape. Try using mismatched times, setting feedback “just before” oscillation, and then adjusting note length to create interesting pad-like sounds.
Bypass Switch: Use to turn the pedal on and off. Press and hold to access the secondary controls mentioned above.
Tap Tempo Switch: Use to set the delay time. Press and hold to set the feedback (oscillation) of the left and right channels to maximum. Release to return to the feedback knob level.
External Tap/Expression : Use to control tap tempo or use an expression pedal to control time or modulation depth. Remove the plate on the back and use the internal DIP switch to select between external TAP or expression.
Feedback Control: Use these internal trim pots to adjust the speed at which the delay repeats automatically enter oscillation. In other words, while holding down the TAP/OSC switch, you can change the speed at which the pedal goes into space and starts making crazy “warp warp” sounds. Turning the trim pot clockwise will slow down the pedal's vibration speed, and turning it counterclockwise will speed up the pedal's vibration speed. Please note that there are two trim pots: one for the left channel and one for the right channel.
■MIDI
MIDI In/MIDI Thru : Connect a MIDI cable to this unit to control digital parameters.
Change MIDI channel : Before turning on the power, press both switches while holding down the power switch. The LED light will start to light up. While holding down the switches, send a MIDI message to the channel you want to assign the pedal to, and the pedal will enter normal operation and you can release the switches.
