Ciao!! (Ciao2) is a compact (5HP!) performance-oriented output module designed with high-quality, low-noise parts and layout. It not only outputs the signal of the modular system at an optimal level for recording and live performance, but also has a headphone amp. There are two stereo line outputs (A/B), each with its own level control. In addition, the MIX switch allows you to mix the B channel into the A channel in stereo. This is very convenient for pre-listening during performances and for stereo mixing! Of course, it also has a clip indicator!

Channel A is equipped with a 6.3mm standard phone (balanced) output, which minimizes noise and outputs signals to the sound system with maximum quality. Channel B output is a 3.5mm stereo jack. The dedicated headphone output is a high-output design, and the select switch can be used to select either channel A or B. If you input a mono signal, it will be normalized to the right channel as well, so it's a very user-friendly design.

Stereo pairs A and B each have their own level controls, and it is possible to display the signal and clipping of the line input to which they are being sent.

Channel A is equipped with a 6.3mm (1/4-inch) balanced jack output, which minimizes noise and ensures maximum quality when sending to a sound system. Channel B is output via a 3.5mm (1/8-inch) stereo jack, which can also be used as an additional headphone output. The dedicated headphone output has high output and a select switch for listening to either channel A or B.

This essential function for cleaner recordings and noiseless live performances is packed into the 5HP's compact space.

■Smart signal distribution
Normalizing the input makes it easy to distribute part or all of the signal to the outputs.

Each A/B stereo channel has a mini jack for L/R independent input, but if you want to input a mono signal, just input it into the L side, and the signal will be automatically distributed to the R channel, and distributed to both channels. Also, if there is no input to channel B's LEFT IN, channel A will be sent to channel B. This is very convenient because you can change the signal distribution depending on whether or not a patch cable is inserted.

You can also use the MIX switch to blend channel B into channel A in stereo, providing a great feature for pre-listening and simple stereo mixing.

■Thoughtful signal path
The signal flow of Ciao!!! is simple but well thought out.

It takes input from channels A and B, attenuates it to line level using the level knob, and outputs it from the channel outputs.
The headphone output has a switch for selecting which channel to listen to, and there is also a MIX switch for blending channel B into channel A.

The inputs are cleverly normalized, so even mono signals can be patched in easily.
