When a pickup electrifies an acoustic instrument, the resulting sound is a mixture of the original acoustic sound and the so-called “Acoustic-Electric Guitars” sound (line sound).
Even if you try to compensate for this by equalizing using a pre-amp or mixer because the sound is already mixed, it interferes with itself, and the tone changes, making it difficult to get the full benefit of the acoustic instrument.
AcoFlavor is a new-style effects pedal that attaches a pickup to an acoustic instrument and filters out the unique “pickup-ness” and “electricity” that occurs when the instrument is played loudly through an amp or PA, allowing you to extract the natural sound of the instrument itself.
The controls are simple: “Limit” adjusts the amount of limiting, “Fit” adjusts the sensitivity from the pickup, and “Master” adjusts the output volume level.
It is used by connecting it directly after the instrument and then connecting it to other preamps, DIs, or amps.
You can also use it as a level-matching function for instruments without a volume control on the main unit or with weak or extremely strong output.
Of course, it's not the same as the sound of a live ukulele, but you can easily get a realistic sound that sounds like a PA or recording engineer made it.
We recommend it for those who are having trouble with sound creation.
