Hungry Robot Pedals The Stampede is a CMOS fuzz pedal that produces a square wave like a synthesizer. It uses a 4069 CMOS chip to create a chaotic, synthesizer-like fuzz tone. It converts the input signal into a square wave.
■Fuzz
■Adapter: 9V center minus
■Current consumption: 97mA
■Battery operation: -
■Controls: Volume, Sensitivity
・Volume: This is the larger knob. It adjusts the volume.
・Sensitivity: This is the smaller knob. This knob adjusts the sound from a slight response to self-oscillation. The results will vary depending on the equipment you connect and the settings you use. If you set the Sensitivity to a low level, depending on the equipment you use, sub-octaves may be added by accident. If you turn up the knob, the operation will become more stable. At this time, you can also use the Tone knob on the guitar to adjust the smoothness of the fuzz. If you increase the sensitivity even further, it will become unstable, and glitches and artifacts will occur. Near the maximum setting, the CMOS will try to pick up traces of floor noise and convert them into a waveform, so there is a possibility that it will produce a chaotic tone due to self-oscillation. This will also depend on the level of floor noise, etc., so it may respond differently in various environments and situations.
・Bypass: Switches the effect on/off.
