Deep Freeze can function as a sustain pedal that holds chords or single notes as backing for a performance, or as a platform for manipulating new sounds not possible with a regular guitar. In addition to the capabilities of the original Freeze, the pedal features a layer function, adjustable attack/decay speed, glissando, dedicated volume control, and three modes: Latch, Moment, and Auto.

Deep Freeze can instantly freeze a sound under three modes: Latch mode freezes the sound each time the footswitch is pressed until the effect is bypassed; Moment mode freezes the sound for as long as the footswitch is pressed; and Auto mode automatically freezes the sound whenever a signal above the threshold is detected. Auto mode automatically captures the sound every time a signal above the threshold is detected, essentially freezing the sound without any footswitch action. These three modes make Deep Freeze effortlessly adaptable to any style of playing.

Deep Freeze's controls allow you to further fine-tune the effect, with separate DRY and EFFECT volume controls that blend the signal from subtle backing to 100% wet. The SPEED/LAYER knob adjusts the attack/decay time of the effect in Moment and Auto modes, and the volume of the sound before layering in Latch mode.
