The G-AMAZE-DX has a standard alder body and a hard maple neck that is joined to the body using a detachable method.

The fingerboard is rosewood with block positions and wrapped in white binding. Since a wheel nut is used, the warp of the neck can be adjusted without removing the neck.
The scale is a common 864mm for the base. The bridge is a traditional type, but the strings can be strung from the body back. The volume and master tone controls for each pickup have a simple and intuitive control configuration, but the master tone is a switch pot, and by pulling it up, both pickups are connected in series, creating a pseudo-humbucker mode.
