STRYMON / UltraViolet

The UltraViolet is a true vibe pedal that revives the sound of the classic Uni-Vibe line, which revolutionized the sound of guitarists in the late 1960s, with a modern update.

The third in the series, the UltraViolet, features Strymon's latest compact form factor, and while it's small, it creates a true vibe that was only possible with large boutique pedals from the analog vintage era. In addition to the standard Chorus and Vibrato, this model also features a Blend mode that unlocks new sounds, stimulating your hidden inspiration.

Three Bias switches provide different sweep and tone emphasis effects, providing a huge range of sound variations. Other features include stereo operation (dual mono operation), simple controls that are easy to operate, and expression pedal support.

The body is made of sturdy aluminum, and premium specifications such as a discrete JFET analog front end, excellent S/N performance of 116dB, a powerful ARM superscalar processor, stereo input/output, and full MIDI control function are condensed. UltraViolet is a compact pedal that allows anyone to experience the authentic tones loved by legends of the past.

●Controls

-MODE
3-position switch selects the mix of wet and dry signals.

chorus: Dry and wet signals mixed 50/50 for maximum depth and a classic "vibe" effect.

blend: Dry and wet signals mixed 70/30 for reduced depth and a milder effect.

vibrato: A classic frequency-dependent phase vibrato effect with only the wet signal.

・SPEED
Adjusts the LFO sweep rate.

・INTESITY
Adjusts the amplitude of the LFO sweep. At minimum, the LFO amplitude is zero, but produces a static effect determined by the BIAS setting.

・BIAS
The 3-way toggle switch sets the center point of the LFO for different vibe effects.

low: Sweeps around low frequencies to produce a pulsating vibe effect.

mid: Sweep is optimized for a balanced vibe effect.

high: Sweeps around high frequencies for a wide range of vibe effects.

・VOLUME
Controls the output level of the pedal up to a 4dB boost.

・FOOTSWITCH
Turns the effect on/off. The LED turns red when the effect is on.

●Specifications
IN: High impedance, ultra-low noise, discrete Class A JFET preamp (stereo) input. A TRS adapter cable is required for stereo input signals.
OUT: Low impedance stereo TRS output. Use TS for mono output, TRS for stereo output.
EXP/MIDI: Multifunction communication jack for external control of the unit's functions. Use a TRS expression pedal for continuous control of the pedal knob (default setting).
Can be selected and configured to operate in one of four modes: Expression Pedal, Favorite, Tap, or MIDI Mode. See the user manual for more information.

9VDC: Use a 9VDC, center negative, minimum 250mA rated adapter.
