The Audio Technica ATH-CC500BT is a wireless headphone that utilizes the third auditory pathway, "cartilage conduction.

It uses bone conduction sound, which converts sound into vibration and sends the sound through the cheekbones, so it doesn't block your ears. You can listen to music and external sounds naturally.

*Water may enter the product if it is immersed in water with a high salt concentration such as seawater or used in conditions with high water pressure such as in a pool or shower. Also, please note that electromechanical equipment may malfunction if it is submerged in water for a long period of time.
*Although it has IP68 performance, it cannot withstand all environments. We do not recommend using the product in environments where pressure is applied.

骨伝導ワイヤレスイヤホン初体験

　耳を圧迫しないで音楽を聴きたかったが、開放型では低音が不足する傾向を感じていたので、試しにこのモデルを購入してみた。配送されて早速聴いてみると、注目したベース音はかなりハッキリ鳴っていて、しかもストリングスは伸びやかでみずみずしく、ボーカルは耳元でささやくようにナチュラル！　伝達機構上、“骨伝導では良い音は望めない”と思っていたので、良い意味で予想を覆された感じであった。骨伝導型は振動が煩わしいという声も耳にするが、このモデルではそれも殆ど気にならなかった。
　近くの電気店で骨伝導イヤホンのデモを聴いた折、“使えそう！”という印象を持ったが、そこにあったのは安いものでも１万円越えで、１万円以下という目標予算に合わなかったので、普段からお世話になっているサウンドハウスさんの通販ラインナップを見てこのモデルに行き着いた次第。骨伝導イヤホンは初めてで、他のモデルや他のメーカーのものは知らないが、装着感やバッテリー性能も問題なく、今の時点では耐久性については未知数であるが、この値段でこの性能ならば、間違いなくお勧め！、と言えそうである。
