The German-made violin bass Cavern 61 takes its name from a small English club where the first Beat Night sessions featuring Ringo Starr and Rory Storm & the Hurricanes were held in 1960. By mid-1961, the Merseybeat scene had really taken off, with The Beatles and the Cavern Club at its core. The Cavern 61 is a replica of the original 1961 model purchased by Paul McCartney.
