■Innovative Steinberger Design
There was nothing like the Ned Steinberger guitars and basses first introduced in 1979.
With its lightweight, headless design, the Steinberger guitar remains a bold, modern instrument today, offering players both smooth tonal response and solid intonation in any position.
It gives soloists a more pronounced single-note attack than is available with typical guitar designs.
The GTR-PRO 6-string electric guitar features an innovative Steinberger design with a basswood body and 3-piece hard maple neck, an instrument that resonates as a single piece of wood.
For the traveling musician, the GT-PRO is the Ultimate Travel Guitar. At only 30.25 inches long, its ergonomic design makes it easy to carry anywhere, including overhead airline compartments.
And thanks to its headless construction and 3-piece hard maple neck, the GT-PRO is not as sensitive to temperature changes as a typical guitar and is virtually unbreakable. The neck features a comfortable 1960s-style SlimTaper-D profile, 24 medium jumbo frets, and a 14" radius.
Folding leg rests fit compactly under the guitar. A luxurious gig bag is included. An optional hard case is also available.
■ Patented R-Trem tremolo and 40:1 ratio direct pull system.
Steinberger neck allows the player to slightly increase the spacing above the frets and maintain incredibly accurate intonation even under heavy shredding.
Without headstock, the GT-PRO has 1.625 wide zero nut frets, which move up to 2.04 inches at the 12th fret as the neck extends to a slight 0.42-inch string spacing at the bridge.
The bridge has steel saddles with Steinberger's patented R-Trem locking tremolo and 40:1 ratio direct pull tuning system.
When unlocked, the R-Trem is capable of extreme dive bombing and suspension.
When locked, the R-Trem functions like a fixed bridge; the GT-PRO has no headstock, so its weight feels more balanced than a typical guitar.
Fine tuning is done at the bridge, and string changes are quick and easy! The Steinberger GT-PRO is factory set up with Steinberger DoubleBall 10-46 strings.
■Versatile Pickups
The Steinberger GT-PRO features Steinberger's versatile humbucker pickups in the neck (HB-2) and bridge (HB-1) positions and a full-range Steinberger SC-1 single coil pickup in the center position.
Controls include master volume, master control, and a 5-way pickup selector.
