At the heart of the IONIC 16, Waves Signature Preamps are Waves' original preamps with completely discrete analog circuitry. Maximum headroom, fast transient response, incredibly low noise floors, and a choice of pristine preamp sounds and rich harmonic enhancements from plug-ins for each input.

At the heart of IONIC 16's sound are the newly designed Waves Signature Preamps. Completely isolated, high-end analog circuitry designed to handle any signal with confidence. The gain structure is carefully designed to provide a wide dynamic range and handle large signals virtually without limit. The result is plenty of headroom, clip-free transients, and an extremely low noise floor for an extremely clean and punchy sound.

■Source of timeless analog warmth
Waves Signature Preamp uses an analog model of the HMX harmonic enhancer to deliver the rich, full-bodied sound typically found only in high-end mixing consoles, without sacrificing punch or clarity. The harmonic enhancer can be turned on or off for each input; when turned off, the sound becomes more neutral.

Whether it's wedge monitors on stage, a full rack of in-ear transmitters, or a PA system of any size, IONIC's 12 powerful line outputs and two independent headphone outputs deliver ultra-clear results with plenty of headroom.

■Seamless integration with eMotion LV1 live mixer
IONIC 16 seamlessly connects to the eMotion LV1 system for quick and easy setup with no configuration time. The IONIC control panel is mounted on the LV1's device rack, allowing you to control various preamp and output parameters directly from the mixer.

■Make better use of stage microphones
The analog impedance selector in the preamp section lets you choose your favorite mic reaction. You can choose between classic 2.5kΩ and modern 7kΩ for more flexible sound creation.
