Introduced in 1970, the 1073 quickly became the mic preamp of choice for top producers and engineers, and has since become one of the world's most desirable preamps. To this day, designed and manufactured in the UK by AMS Neve, its unique timbre, warmth, low-mid punch, and subtle harmonic distortion make it the most prestigious front end for recording in studios of all sizes.

The 1073OPX continues the 1073's lineage, packing eight legendary preamps into a 2U rack unit. Front and rear connectors provide comprehensive connectivity to any studio/live/broadcast environment, and state-of-the-art remote control software provides bi-directional control of all settings with Total Recall with save/load functionality. Mic input sources benefit from a Marinair transformer-coupled input stage, allowing you to connect sources directly to front-mounted mic/line/DI inputs for recording in your studio control room.

With the optional 1073OPX USB/ADAT card, you can use it as a complete standalone I/O interface or digitally expand your existing ADAT-enabled audio interface with ADAT optical connections.

This optional USB/ADAT card seamlessly integrates with digital audio workstations and records and plays high-quality digital audio using the S/MUX protocol at sample rates up to 192kHz in USB/ADAT hub mode and up to 96kHz in ADAT standalone mode when connected to an ADAT-equipped audio interface.
