WESAUDIO / ng76 Stereo Matched Pair

The WESAUDIO ng76 is the ideal ""1176"" with many updates added to the legendary recording equipment ""Urei 1176LN,"" and further enhanced with digital recall/plug-in control.

■ Compressor, 1ch x 2 units, Stereo Matched Pair

While the audio signal passes only through completely analog circuitry, all parameters can be digitally controlled via a DAW plugin! The traditional analog sound of the 1176 remains intact, while leveraging the convenience of plugins such as recall and automation.

■ ng76Stereo -Stereo Matched Pair-

A stereo pair of units, precisely matched at the factory, is provided. It can be used as a single dual-channel unit with dedicated software.

* Includes two additional cables for detector linking.

* This unit is calibrated to operate in stereo using the stereo plug-in.

* All parameters are fully linked with dedicated software; changing one channel updates the linked unit.

* The SC link button on the front panel allows selection between true stereo compression and dual mono compression.

* Stereo matching of FET compressors requires work at the component level, making it difficult to achieve accurate matching levels with two random ng76 units. For stereo use, please purchase the ""ng76Stereo.""

[Key Features of the ng76]

1. 100% Analog FET Compressor: The ng76 is an analog compressor with 24dBu headroom. Despite being digitally controlled, it delivers the high-speed compression sound used on countless classic albums.

2. Full Stereo Operation (Stereo Matched Pair): ng76 units can be linked using dedicated software. By linking the compressor's control signals, it can be used as a true stereo compressor with all parameters linked, or as a dual-mono compressor. (A special cable included with the Stereo Matched Pair is required.)

3. Convenient MIX knob for parallel compression: As you know, FET compressors are fast, aggressive, and have a punchy character. The MIX knob allows you to adjust the amount of this wonderful flavor.

4. Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): The THD button adds a shimmering distortion, selectable from High and Low settings. This feature, unique to FET circuits, allows you to adjust the saturation during compression.

5. Equipped with Carnhill transformers: Transformers are a crucial element in audio equipment. The Carnhill transformers, which produce superb warm saturation, add that vintage flavor to the ng76.

6. Saturation Mode: A special mode that adds saturation via the FET circuit without compression. It can be controlled with a single knob that moves the INPUT and OUTPUT in opposite directions. This allows the ng76 to be used as a saturation box or clipper, adding beautiful saturation the more you turn the knob.

7. Selectable Input Stages: Modern and Vintage modes allow you to reproduce two revisions of the 1176 (F and G).

? Vintage ? Transformer balanced

? Modern ? Electronically balanced

8. Sidechain EQ: A sophisticated sidechain EQ consisting of two independent sections.

? HPF 60Hz/90Hz/150Hz ? Maintains low-end information during compression.

? High Shelf 2kHz/5kHz/10kHz ? Emphasizes highs/high-mids and controls the high frequencies.

9. Hardware A/B buttons for comparing two independent settings: Even without using a digital system, you can easily switch between two different settings with a single button.

10. USB or Ethernet connectivity available.

11. Gain reduction meter and input/output meters: The ng76 features a classic gain reduction meter. Independent, high-precision input and output level meters have also been added, providing improved visibility and usability.

12. Analog automation: The analog ng76 can track automation written in your DAW. You can also write automation to your DAW using the five touch-sensitive encoders.

13. Total Recall and Plugin Control

● 100% analog FET mono compressor with 24dBu headroom

● Fast-responding compression reminiscent of the legendary WesAudio Beta76

● Full total recall and plugin control compatible with most DAWs

● Classic FET-style controls: INPUT / OUTPUT / ATTACK / RELEASE

● MIX control added for parallel compression
