The distinctive art design was inspired by the famous posters that adorned the walls of the Shrine Auditorium, a concert venue in Los Angeles in February 1968.
Simon Berndt of One Horse Town Illustration has specially adapted a poster design by John Van Hamersveld, an artist who, like Jimi Hendrix, is a leading figure in pop culture and the hippie movement.
The design is inspired by the star-spangled banner, as the UNI-VIBE was once used on stage at Woodstock to represent the American national anthem 'Star Spangled Banner' with a guitar.
Housed in a compact enclosure, the JHMS3 UNI- VIBE? reproduces the same sound as vintage units from 1969?1970.
It delivers the distinctive shimmering chorus/rotary speaker sound heard on Jimi's classic Band Of Gypsys album, known as the 'underwater sound'.
Vibe mode can be selected by a switch on the top of the unit. Switches to a thick, swirling vibrato sound.
