The distinctive art design was inspired by the famous posters that adorned the walls of the Shrine Auditorium, a concert venue in Los Angeles in February 1968.

Simon Berndt of One Horse Town Illustration has adapted a poster design by John Van Hamersveld, an artist who, like Jimi Hendrix, is a leading figure in pop culture and the hippie movement. Simon Berndt of One Horse Town Illustration arranged it specially for this pedal.

The green and blue flame "FIRE" on the pedal evokes the intense passion and mystical musical experience that Jimi Hendrix gave the world, while the psychedelic lettering design creates a period atmosphere.

The compact housing contains two fuzz-faced sounds that are integral to Jimi's career.
The warm, smooth saturation of the germanium transistors from his early career and the aggressive crunch of the silicon transistors from his later career are all in one unit, switchable on the top of the unit.

The bypass switch can be switched between true bypass and buffered bypass.
When using a wah pedal, buffered bypass can be selected to prevent extreme sound changes.
