D'Angelico / Premier SS Champagne

The Premier SS is a semi-hollow body model with an original 15-inch (381 mm) wide, 1.75-inch (44.45 mm) thick single cutaway shape and center block construction.

The original-shaped pickguard, which gives the guitar a distinctive DiAngelico feel, is made from five-ply tortoise shell.
The body top, headstock and neck are decorated with binding, and the design is combined with white pearloid block position markers.
The body is made of maple, and the neck is made of maple with an ebony fingerboard.
The neck finish is gloss, and the scale length is 25 inches, with a set-neck joint.
It also has a dual-action truss rod that is adjusted at the head.
The distinctive headstock design is a continuation of the DiAngelico tradition.
The truss rod cover is made of aluminium and has a distinctive design inspired by the Art Deco architecture that was popular in New York around 1930 (such as the Empire State Building), which can be seen in the skyscrapers of New York.
The pickups are two Seymour Duncan-designed HB-102N humbuckers with metal covers and two HB-101B humbuckers.
The controls are laid out with two volumes, two tones and a three-way pickup selector.
The hardware is all chrome, and it has a rotomatic-type tuner with a steer-step button and a Tune-O-Matic & stopbar tailpiece.
