D'Angelico / Premier SS Stairstep Fiesta Red

The Premier SS is a semi-hollow body model with the original 15" (381mm) wide, 1.75" (44.45mm) thick single cutaway shape and centre block construction.

The original shaped pickguard, which is typical of Di Angelico, has a 5-ply tortoise shell pattern.
The body top, headstock and neck are decorated with binding and combined with white pearloid block position markers.
Body material is maple, with wood materials such as maple neck and ovangkol fingerboard.
The neck finish is gloss, with a 25-inch scale and a set neck joint.
It also features a dual-action truss rod, which is adjusted on the head side.
The distinctive headstock design continues the Diangelico tradition.
The truss rod cover is made of aluminium and has a strong presence inspired by the New York skyscrapers with their Art Deco architecture (e.g. Empire State Building), which were popular in New York around 1930.
The pickups are two metal-covered Seymour Duncan-designed HB-102N humbuckers and HB-101B humbuckers.
The control layout is 2-volume, 2-tone and a 3-way pickup selector.
Hardware is chrome, with steer-step button rotomatic-type tuners and steer-step.
