■Piano Reality Technology
Roland has long studied the many elements that make the sound and touch of a grand piano possible, including the sound source, keys, pedals, and speakers, as well as their complex interactions.
The GP-6 employs Piano Reality Technology, the culmination of technology developed from this years of research. The GP-6 is the culmination of this long-standing research, and by making each part work seamlessly together, you can enjoy authentic piano playing with great expressiveness.

■Richly expressive sound
The Piano Reality Modeling Premium sound source uses the latest proprietary technology to reproduce the behavior of all parts and elements that create the sound of an acoustic grand piano, creating a realistic piano sound that makes you feel as if you are playing a concert grand piano. The maximum number of simultaneous sounds is unlimited. The unlimited number of simultaneous notes allows for rich sounds and lingering echoes, even in music with a large number of notes and heavy use of dampers, to express your playing as fully as you wish.

■Touch of a Grand Piano
The Piano Reality Hybrid Premium keyboard is a hybrid keyboard made of wood and resin, with hammer action and an escapement mechanism that reproduces the clicking sensation characteristic of a grand piano. The keyboard surface is made of a proprietary moisture-absorbent ivory- and ebony-tone material, which not only gives the keyboard a luxurious appearance, but also provides excellent playability with a finger-friendly feel. In addition, new sensing technology speeds up the time between keyboard presses and sensor response, so that differences in sound depending on the way the keys are played are reflected more faithfully in the sound.
It is also equipped with three high-performance damper/soft/sostenuto pedals. The damper pedal reproduces load changes and continuous detection when depressed, just like an acoustic grand piano, and can express the subtle echoes of reverberation when half-pedaling. In addition, damper modeling utilizing sensing technology reproduces damper noise as well as the physical noise caused when the pedal is depressed and released quickly. This allows for more advanced practice in controlling pedaling noise.

■Customize the sound and touch to your liking
The GP-6 is equipped with world-class grand piano sounds, allowing you to easily enjoy a variety of piano sounds. Advanced players in particular can use the Piano Designer function to customize the sound and keyboard touch to their liking, including 88-key tuning, brightness adjustment, keyboard touch weight, and the degree of resonance created by the cabinet. The Piano Designer function can also be adjusted in an easy-to-understand manner using the Piano Designer application.

■Digital Features
The GP-6 is much lighter than an acoustic grand piano, making it easy to move around and eliminating the need for tuning. The volume can be easily adjusted, and by connecting headphones, the GP-6 can be played at night or any other time of day. In addition, the twin piano divides the keyboard into two equal registers, allowing you to enjoy playing with family and friends.
