There is something magical about the sound of a large NEVE console that you just can't get from a DAW, until bx_console came along. bx_console is a revolutionary plug-in from Brainworx that recreates the sound of a large NEVE analog console, a sound that was created by Brainworx's founder and CEO, producer/engineer Dirk Ulrich. Ulrich's rare 72-channel Neve VXS analog console delivers amazingly realistic sound.

And just like analog, no two channels sound exactly the same.
Typical channel strip plug-ins only model one channel of a mixer and apply the same equalization curve, compression time, frequency, and phase response to each channel.
However, thanks to Brainworx's pioneering tolerance modeling technology, all 72 selectable channels in bx_console N replicate different Neve VXS channels, modeling even the slightest differences between analog component channels. bx_console N plug-ins into your mix, you can achieve the deep, wide, punchy "multi-channel analog sound" of the Neve VXS in your DAW.

The most flexible and full-featured Neve console ever
The VXS is one of the most sophisticated consoles Neve has ever built, combining the round, smooth, full-bodied sound Neve is known for with a powerful EQ and dynamics section. Incredible levels of boost and cut are possible.
The dynamic section features program-dependent release times and side-chaining. bx_console N has a compressor/limiter, expander/gate, 4-band EQ, and high-pass/low-pass filters.

The bx_console N is a modification of the Brainworx original and adds many new features that were missing from the original Neve VXS console. The compressor's secondary release time threshold can be adjusted to safely handle even the most delicate acoustic guitar tracks.
Raising the dedicated HPF control on the compressor's sidechain can keep heavily compressed drum and electric bass tracks sounding punchy, and level-adjusted male vocals sounding warm and round.
With a single mouse click, the EQ can be switched from post to pre-compressor to create a large and controlled bottom end for bass tracks and full mixes.

True analog sound with features unique to plug-ins.
Some of the functions added to bx_console N can only be realized in the digital realm.
The new Mix control on the compressor/limiter is just the ticket for creating monster drum sounds and powerful guitar tracks with parallel compression. the THD control can be boosted independently for each channel. vocals, bass, electric guitar, and drum tracks with rich saturation, adding thickness and density without altering the gain stage. While mixing, you can alternately solo the mid and side channels of a stereo track with a simple mouse click on the plug-in toolbar, instantly pinpointing undesirable distortion or phase problems. bx_console N is not just a channel strip. bx_console N is not just a channel strip, but a complete version of the 72-channel Neve VXS console.
